Often (but not always) it is a response to anger that brings a couple to us. Behind that anger there is usually a complex of emotions to unpack that can include: resentment, frustration, fear, anxiety, pain, hurt, and shame, among others. The work always involves looking behind the anger to find and deal with what we call primary emotions. This needs to be done by each partner, so that each person can be responsible for their part in the dynamic.

Frequently there is also a series of unresolved issues, which have accumulated over the years, sometimes over generations, that get expressed through anger. We help people explore these issues and address them in a respectful and constructive way.

Some of our work with couples is related to anger issues, but it does not have to be. We have many years of experience working to help couples find ways to reconnect and resolve their differences, deepen their bond and grow together, or clarify if they need to separate, how they can do so in a caring and respectful way.

Our approach assumes that both partners have their own experience and hold valuable input into the dynamics of the relationship. In our sessions, we will help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, your partner and the dynamics between the two of you. We will help you use this understanding to resolve conflicts more skillfully, so that love and intimacy can be more present in your life.

Our couples sessions are 1.5 hours in duration and cost:

  • $220 with Associates
  • $260 with Alistair Moes
  • $290 with Alejandra Proaño

All prices include taxes. Add a one time $20 fee per person to the first session for the book.
